Court Orders Temporary Forfeiture Of Diezani’s $4.764m Houses
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has ordered the temporary forfeiture of two penthouses valued at $4.764 million allegedly linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to the Federal Government.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, in her ruling, directed that the two houses described as; Penthouse 21 building 5, Block C, 11th floor (Bella Vista Estate) Banana Island, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 22, Block B (Admiralty Estate) also in Ikoyi, Lagos, be forfeited to the Federal Government pending the conclusion of the investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The judge gave the directive while granting an ex-parte motion seeking interim forfeiture of the said property, filed and argued before the court by a lawyer to the anti-graft agency, Anslem Ozioko.
Joined as respondents in the motion marked FHC/L/CS/1793c/17 are; Diezani Alison-Madueke, Donald Amamgbo, Schillenburg LLC and Sequoyah Property Limited.
