The trial against leader of Islamic movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky, his wife and two others has been adjourned to the twenty fifth of March, Two thousand and nineteen.
This followed an application by the defendant’s counsel Mr. Femi Falana that the leader and his wife had been in poor condition of health.
The trial judge also cited inability of the third and fourth accused persons to appear in court since commencement of the trial.
The court ordered the state through the Director of Public Prosecution Dari Bayero to amend the charges to enable full commencement of trial against the first and second accused person.
It also mandated the state to ensure that the accused persons are provided with access to adequate medical treatment before the next adjourned date.
