WHO To Collaborate With Borno On Polio Eradication
World Health Organisation (WHO), has said it will collaborate with Borno State government to ensure that Nigeria is certified polio-free.
WHO’s regional director for Africa, Rebecca Moeti stated this at the Muna IDP camp in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, where she partook in an integrated polio/malaria prevention campaign flag-off.
Moeti applauded Borno state government and partners for ensuring that no case of live polio virus transmission, has been recorded, since last year.
She further mentioned that WHO has put in place, seasonal malaria prevention campaigns, of which two rounds have been concluded, while two more are being launched.
