Civil Societies Commend President Buhari Over Corruption War
The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations for Justice and Equity has commended President Mohammadu Buhari’s war against corruption with a call on Nigerians to re-elect the President in the forthcoming polls to enable him accomplish his mission to repositioning the country.
At a press briefing today in Abuja, the group said that the recent arraignment and suspension of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen over allegation of non asset declaration was an indication that the President is Winning the war against corruption.
Convener of the Group, Comrade Olayemi Success who expressed satisfaction that the President’s anti corruption crusade has earned the Country an improved image among the international community, noted that Nigeria has also regained the confidence of foreign investors who have indicated interest to do business in it.
According to him, President Buhari’s administration has recorded huge success in the recovery of looted funds through the whistle blowing policy as well as ensured that loopholes in the nation’s treasury are blocked through the enforcement of the BVN and TSA policies.
