Nigeria And FIFA – Everything There Is To Know!

There is no arguing the fact that football is one of the most popular sports around the globe, with millions of people playing or cheering their favorite teams. There are millions and millions of soccer fans in Europe, the US, and of course – Africa.

The sheer amount of available soccer-themed products and activities you can put your hands on serves to prove how popular the sport is worldwide. From various computer games to online Vegas casino games and sports betting venues, every soccer fan can have fun with soccer-related activities if that’s what he desires to do.

Soccer is a big deal in various countries all around Africa, but not many countries can compete with Nigeria when it comes to the love for this competitive sport. Nigeria has a strong national team, one of the best in the entire continent, and that serves to show just how much energy, time, and effort the Nigerian people put into this kind of sport.

With the Nickname ‘Super Eagles’, Nigeria’s national team makes headlines all around the globe from time to time, and recently the name of the team came up when experts discussed the upcoming FIFA competitions in Russia.

If you are a big fan of soccer and you are interested in the upcoming FIFA games, it is time you take a look at the Nigerian team and find out how close the team is to winning the World Cup!

The Games and What They Mean

Soccer has a special spot in the hearts of the Nigerian people for various reasons. Not only does it provide them with an outstanding source of entertainment, it also opens up doors for players and businessmen alike.

Right now, the ‘Super Eagles’ are ranked 9th in Africa and 47th on the FIFA list. Although the team, and the entire Nigerian population, hoped for a better ranking – there is nothing wrong with those numbers. It is a known fact that the FIFA ranking system is somewhat flawed, and although the ranking is not fair – there is no use crying over spilled milk.

In fact, the team should feel proud that they qualify to participate in the 2018 FIFA tournament in Moscow, no matter what their ranking might be. They can prove their own worth once the competition begins.

Apart from proving to the world how serious Nigeria is when it comes to competitive sports, the upcoming games also means great things for the Nigerian market and economic state.

Can you imagine how many people are going to watch the games? We are talking about millions of people all around the globe. All this exposure can mean one thing – advertising! Clothing companies and other types of major businesses in Nigeria fight for the chance to promote their product in the games. Whether by sponsoring the teams’ uniform or striking some kind of deal with the football association – companies have a chance to advertise their product on an international platform.

That is a rare opportunity for the Nigerian market, and it should not be taken for g ranted. Even if the team doesn’t win, the dedicated soccer players did something magnificent: they put Nigeria on the map.

Only time will tell how the games will affect the Nigerian people, but hopefully it will be for the better!

In Conclusion

There is no wonder why soccer is so popular around the globe. It is exciting, unexpected, and it has the ability to bring people together, which is a rare thing indeed. If you are a fan of the game, you probably keep track of all the current stats, and you are not alone in this!

The FIFA games always manage to catch the attention of people all around the globe, and it is a great time for teams from all over to try and prove how good they are.

Later this year, many people are going to cheer for the Nigerian ‘Super Eagles’ in the Moscow games. Are you one of them?

Salah Confident Of Making World Cup Despite Shoulder Injury

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah is “confident” of being fit for the World Cup despite suffering a shoulder injury in Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid.

Salah was forced off in tears during the first half of the 3-1 loss in Kiev on Saturday, sparking fears he wouldn’t make it to next month’s World Cup.

The 25-year-old sustained the problem when he was dragged awkwardly to the turf following a challenge with Sergio Ramos, leading some to claim the Madrid defender had deliberately tried to injure Liverpool’s star forward.

Speaking after the final, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had described the injury as “serious” amid fears Salah had suffered a dislocated shoulder.

That would have ruled him out of Egypt’s first appearance in the World Cup since 1990.

Salah was pictured with his shoulder in a sling when he got off Liverpool’s plane at John Lennon Airport on Sunday.

But it now appears there is a good chance Salah will be able to join his country for the tournament in Russia.

“It was a very tough night, but I’m a fighter. Despite the odds, I’m confident that I’ll be in Russia to make you all proud,” Salah wrote on his official Twitter account on Sunday.

“Your love and support will give me the strength I need.”

Egypt’s team doctor Mohamed Abou El-Ela said in a statement that, according to information from Liverpool’s medical staff, Salah has sustained only ligament damage.

And, just as Salah tweeted his fitness update, fresh reports in Egypt claimed he had only suffered a strain in the shoulder ligaments and is expected to be back in action in three weeks.

Crucial English Premier League Competitions

The English Premier League is the strongest internal world championship involving 20 teams. Now the championship is entering the home stretch and teams are maximally concentrated on their goals to solve their tasks in this season.

The EPL in its present form was created in 1992. Before this, the championship had been called the First Division. In England, there are the best players and the most professional coaches from all over the world. Unlike other competitions, not 2-3 but 6 teams compete for the champion title here:

·         Manchester United;

·         Chelsea;

·         Tottenham;

·         Arsenal;

·         Liverpool;

·         Manchester City.

It is even more surprising that 2 years ago the title was won by modest Leicester, which budget is considerably less than the budget of the specified clubs. The premier league is dynamically developing and winning more fans all around the world. Livescore allows not to miss anything from the favorite game world.

This year, competitions of the EPL will be especially tough and uncompromising.

Current season

Before the company 2017/2018 start, a lot of specialists have predicted that the competition for the title is expected to be very tough. Chelsea will face a challenge, which the Londoners haven’t coped with, – to win the title. Manchester City has taken the lead from the first rounds. Charges of Josep Guardiola have rapidly lengthened their lead. Neighbors of United have competed with them for some time but, at the face-to-face competition, City crushed them.

Since then, the champion issue has not been on the agenda. The major challenge of other clubs is to distribute places in the Champions League. Only Manchester United and Liverpool can manage to do this. Arsenal has obviously backed off but they are able to win the Europa League and to enter the most prestigious European Cup Tournament next season.

Also, the survival zone is seeing the tough fight. While the one failure of the season, WBA, is obvious, who will take two remaining places in the failure zone is a mystery. The closeness in the league table is incomparable and even clubs going in the middle can lose their advantages for a few rounds.

The EPL becomes stronger and more attractive from year to year. Teams invest large sums of money in players and gain an enormous income from broadcast rights. We can expect a spectacular end of the season when favorites and outsiders have no margin for error. Follow the results with professionals and enjoy exciting football matches.
