President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday hosted a delegation of the Governor’s forum at the Abuja House in London.

The governor’s which comprises 5 All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and two from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had yesterday left for London to see the president.

PHOTOS: Some Of The 82 Freed Chibok Girls In Abuja

The Nigerian government has released photographs of some of the released 82 Chibok Girls.

The Federal Ministry of Information and Culture released the photographs via its twitter account on Sunday, saying that the girls are in a government facility in Abuja.

The girls had earlier arrived Abuja having been airlifted from Banki in Borno State to Maiduguri from where they made their way to the nation’s capital.

PHOTOS: President Buhari Attends May 5 Juma’at Prayer

President Buhari on Friday attended Juma’at prayer at the State Mosque in Abuja, dousing tension and rumours of his state of health.

The president has not been seen in the public since missing last week’s meeting of the Federal Executive Council despite reports that he met with the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and the Group managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

The president has missed three Federal Executive Council meetings in the last one month.

PHOTOS: Saraki, Dogara Meets Buhari In London

Senate President Bukola Saraki and speaker of the house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara, met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House in London.

Saraki and Dogara were earlier reported to have traveled to London to see the president who has been on Vacation since January 19.

Some other members of the National Assembly were also reported to have embarked on the trip to see the president.

They include Yusuf Lasun, deputy speaker, and Ahmed Lawan, senate leader.

Photos: Osun Pensioners Walk, Holds Prayer Session For Aregbesola

Over 3000 Pensioners today held a prayer session for Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at the Freedom Park, Osogbo.
The pensioners had before starting their prayer session staged a walk between Fakunle High School down to Olaiya junction and towards the freedom park singing solidariy songs with the governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbeosla who they revealed has tried and shown much sympathy towards the cause of the pensioners.
Recall that the state governor had paid the sum of 14.3bn naira to clear salary and pension arrears in the last week of December 2016. A large chunk of that funds went into paying the 21,000 strong pensioners in the state of Osun.

Photos: Nigeria Army Operations In Sambisa Forest

Photographs of Nigerian troops advancing into the strong hold of the Boko Haram insurgents in the Sambisa forest have emerged.

According to military sources, the offensive to liberate Sambisa Forest from the insurgents began about a month ago.
During the operation, the army deployed 4,200 troops to Sambisa Forest through various fronts, including Ngurosoye, Konduga/Aulari, Bama, Fulka and Damboa.

PHOTOS: Meet Daniel Amah, The DPO Of The Best Police Station In NIgeria

 

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris recently declared the Bompai Division of the Nigerian Police in Kano as the best police station in Nigeria.

According to the IG, the station is the best in all ramification, saying it is corrupt free, has low crime rate, sociable and amongst all imbibes the spirit of the Change Begins With Me campaign.

Daniel Amah is the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the division.

With his numerous qualification, it is no surprise that his station has achieved the great feat of becoming the best police station in Nigeria.

Amah has Bachelor of Science degree in BSc Sociology and a Master degree in Crime Management Prevention & Control both from Bayero University Kano.

He also has a Masters degree in International Affairs & Diplomacy from the Ahmadu Bello University and is currently undertaking another masters degree in Public Policy & Administration Ahmadu Bello University.
