Buhari Sacks His Chief Security Officer, Appoints Replacement
President Muhammad Buhari has sacked Abdulrahman Mani as his Chief Security Officer.
In his place, the president appointed BashAbubir akar as the new CSO.
Bashir Abubakar, was until his appointment was an assistant director in the Bayelsa state command of the SSS.
According to a presidency source, Mani was fired on Saturday. The reason for his sack is still unknown as at the time of this report as the presidency is yet to formally announce his sack. However, a source said Mani has already been redeployed to the Ebonyi state command of the SSS.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, directed all enquiries on the matter to the State Security Service.
“I don’t speak on security matters, so you may have to ask the SSS,” Mr. Adesina said.
