Buhari Moves To Save Ambode, Requests Meeting With Tinubu, Akande
President Buhari has requested for the attendance of former Lagos State governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a former interim chairman of the party leaders, Chief Bisi Akande to a meeting over the development surrounding the governorship primaries in Lagos State.
The meeting it was learnt is a last ditch effort to save the Lagos State governor, Akinwumi Ambode as the party prepares for the primary election now scheduled to hold tomorrow.
In the early hours of Monday morning the president reached out to Tinubu and Akande for an urgent meeting.
The meeting it is believed is to discuss Lagos Primaries.
Sources said Abuja is worried by the decision of Ambode to go dirty and to sling the party.
A source who is in the know of the meeting however said while Lagosians wait to deliver their verdict, Abuja must let the people decide.
