British Govt Expresses Interest In Ekiti Poll
The British Government has indicated interest in ensuring credible governorship election in Ekiti State
The British High Commissioner in Nigeria, Ambassador Paul Arkwright made this known during a visit to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in Akure the Ondo State Capital
Ambassador Arkwright said the British council had deployed a reasonable number of international observers for the election
He explained that the British Government had no preferred candidate but encouraged the stakeholder to guard against all forms of electoral malpractices
Ambassador Arkwright also expressed commitment to creating employment for Nigerian youths
Responding, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu appreciated the international communities for their support to Nigeria and prayed for successful governorship election in Ekiti State
Speaking on employment generation, Mr Akeredolu noted that his administration was planning the establishment of industries with a view to boosting the state’s economy.
