Breaking: Reps Pass Vote Of No Confidence On IGP Ibrahim Idris
The Federal House of Representatives has, on Tuesday, passed a vote of no confidence on the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
Recall that the police has been unable to bring to nip in the bud, the incessant clash between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in some villages in Benue State and other parts of the country.
Also on Tuesday when the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Jimoh Moshood described Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom as a drowning man.
Moshood had engaged the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Terver Akase, in a heated argument over the series of violence that have left many to their early graves since the beginning of the year.
“And that is why we felt you don’t join issues with a drowning man,” he said in an apparent reference to the governor calling for the immediate resignation or sack of the IGP.
