Suicide Bomber Hits Two Police Stations in Sokoto
At first a suicide bomber driving a bomb rigged car attacked the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police in the city at Marina killing a police officer and injuring several others.
Another bomber also bombed Unguwar Rogo Police station in the metropolis.
The police have confirmed that an officer and a suicide bomber died Monday in a brazen attack.
The North-West city of Sokoto, home to the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the Sultan, head of Muslims in Nigeria, had remained largely insulated from the Boko Haram attacks which began in July 2009.
