BREAKING NEWS: BOMB EXPLOSION AND GUN FIRE ROCKS JOS, BORNO CHURCH
Reports just coming in said another church has been hit by bomb explosion in Jos, Plateau state exactly one week after a suicide bomb explosion killed over 10 people in Bauchi.
The bomb blast which occurred at the rukuba area of the state capital is said to have hit The Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) church and was immediately followed by sporadic gunfire.
In another development, Several gunmen opened fire on worshipers in a church along the outskirts of Biu, Borno state around 11:30 this morning.
Many are feared dead and wounded.
A resident, Kabir Baba told Daily Trust that he heard sporadic gunshots from the church during the attack.
The commissioner of Police in Plateau in Jos has already confirmed the incidence, but cannot give casualty figures at the moment.
As at the time of this report, casualty figures are also yet to be ascertained in the Borno attack as the state police spokesman could not be reached for comments.
No claims has also been made, but Boko Haram is largely suspected to be behind the blast.
