The federal government, on Monday, summoned the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, to explain remarks made by President Donald Trump which referred to African countries as “shitholes.”
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.
Recall that President Trump, in a meeting with lawmakers at the Oval office discussing immigration described Haiti and African nations as “shithole countries.”
