Former member of the House of Representative and Executive Secretary of the Anti- Corruption Network, Honouble Dino Melaye has been reportedly arrested.
The news of the arrest was disclosed by one of the close associate of the anti-corruption crusader, Mallam Nasir Elrufai who also disclosed that his whereabout is yet to be ascertained.
“Just learnt relaibly that @dino_melaye has been arrested for the umpteenth time this year, whereabouts still unknown..let us all keep vigil!,” Elrufai said on his twitter page.
Shortly after he added: “Just informed that Policemen are currently in @dino_melaye residence with a search warrant to ransack it…hope there are witnesses there…”
Dino Melaye has been on the fore-front of fighting corruption especially in the Jonathan Government whom many has described as the most government in the history of the country.
Just last week, he led a group of protesters to the ministry of aviation to call for the sack of the aviation minister, Ms. Stella Oduah who the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) purchased two BMW bullet proof cars for. The bullet proof cars are said to have cost the the NCAA N255 million despite being cash-strapped.
Dino Melaye was arrested during the process of the protest and driven away in a police van, but was released after a brief chat with the police.

UPDATE
Before he was taken away from his office on Monday, Mr. Melaye, a former member of the House of Representatives, representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency of Kogi State, told journalists that he did not know whose life he allegedly threatened.
“Two police officers are presently with me and they have come to arrest me,” he said.
“I did not know my offence. The two police officers just told me that they have a warrant of arrest on me with a charge of criminal intimidation and threat to life but they did not tell me who I intimidated and threatened.
“There are two ASPs here – one of them is Patrick Ejoh. They said they were taking me to FCT state command.”
8.55pm:
Dino Melaye has been released.
He twisted some minutes ago saying “They have just failed again,I was arrested,my house was searched upside down,nothing was found. I am free again. Aluta continua.”
“No retreat, no surrender. No force on earth will stop our fight against tranny. Waiting for the next move again,” Dino added
