UPDATE: Boko Haram Kills 30 In Kummabza Village in Borno, Abducts 60 Girls
Members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect has continued its onslaught on the north-eastern state of Borno with the killing of no less than 3o people in Kummabaza village in Damboa Local Govt of the state.
The insurgent group reportedly stormed Kummabza village under Damboa LGA in Borno State and fired sporadically killing at least 30 persons.
The sect also reportedly abducted 60 girls from the village after carrying out the deadly attack.
The latest attack and abduction of yet another set of 60 girls is coming at a time Nigerians and the international community is still clamouring for the release of the over 200 girls abducted in Chibok local government Bornu state by the sect over 2 months ago.
Sources from the area revealed to journalists Monday that the hoodlums believed to be members of the outlawed Boko Haram sect continued to invade the town last week and abducted their women.
The sources also said that the whole village was destroyed by the hoodlums.
The secretary of the council, Modu Mustapha who spoke to journalists however said he was not authorised to speak on the matter.
All attempts to get security agencies to speak on the incident was equally not successful as the mobile telephone lines of their spokesmen were not reachable.
