Boko Haram Installs “New Emir” In Bama, Prepares to Attack Maiduguri
Report reaching Abusidiqu indicates that the Boko Haram insurgents group has installed a “new Emir” in Bama, the second largest city in Borno State after Maiduguri.
The terrorists installed one of its members named Mohammed Danjuma, known popularly for his brutality as the “new Emir” of Bama.
This development is coming few weeks after the sect appointed a new Emir for Gwoza, another strategic town it also captured after a fierce battle with Nigerian troops.
The capture of Bama by the sect generated controversy within the past few days with claims and counter claims over who is in control of the town dominating the media. While the Nigeria army claimed it dealt a heavy blow to the terrorist who had earlier taken control of the town and took possession of it, the Boko Haram sect on the other hand dispel the claims of the military and declared that it is in control of the town.
With the installation of a “new Emir”, the sect has effectively shown that it is in control.
Meanwhile as reported yesterday, Boko Haram are continuing preparations to launch attack on Maiduguri, the State capital.
We will also want to warn the Nigerian military and Civilian-JTF to protect public infrastructure that could be targets of the terrorists which will cause harm to the cities; like bridges and dams.
