Boko Haram Installs Another Emir in Dikwa After Doing Same in Bama, Shehu of Bama Threatens to March on Recapture Mission
The Boko Haram insurgents group has continued to show establish its authority in the towns and communities’ captured in their bloody war to carve out a caliphate in the nirth eastern party of the country with the installation of another emir in Dikwa, another Borno town in its control.
Abusidiqu had reported on Monday that the sect members installed a “new Emir” in Bama, a town located about 40 kilometres to Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno state capital.
After successfully installing one of its members known to be a brutal killer, the sect took the installation to Dikwa, where it also installed a new Shehu.
The name of the new Shehu is Bulama Yaga.
The new shehu in the person of “Yaga” sources said is not even a Kanuri by tribe. Since Boko Haram are claiming strict Islamic Law, this may lead them to install any tribe as long as he is learned in Islamic law according to their rank.
The Shehu in traditional Borno settlement is the alpha and omega in all matters and has the power to install other Village Heads under his domain.Bama and Dikwa Emirate Councils are the second biggest emirate councils after the Shehu of Borno and from all indications, the number of Districts in these two emirates surpasses that of the Shehu of Borno… technically, Boko Haram is in control of 75% of Borno’s Emirates.
