Boko Haram Attacks School In Maiduguri, Kills 22 Students, Others
The war against between security agencies and Boko Haram is not over yet. This message was conveyed today through two deadly attacks launched on residents of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. The victims of the attacks were mainly students and youths who the sect accused of joining force with security agents to expose its members. Not less than 22 people were counted killed at the end of the well coordinated attacks believed to be revenge move earlier threatened by the sect in a statement.
iReports-ng.com gathered that about 13 persons including fishermen, local tea sellers and other residents of Alau river near Maiduguri were killed when the insurgents sneaked into the neighbourhood today. In like manner, the gunmen also stormed another suburb of Maiduguri, Jajeri where they killed over nine students writing their on going National Examination Council (NECO) papers at Ansaruden Private Primary and Secondary School, with scores of others injured.
The sect had last weekend in a statement by its spokesman, Abu Zinnira declared war against Borno and Yobe youths. According to the insurgents threat: ”We have established that youths in Borno and Yobe States are now against our course. They have connived with security operatives and are actively supporting the government of Nigeria in its war against us. We have also resolved to fight back”, stressing that it is now time to hunt their hunters(youths).
