BMSG Applauds FG Over Recovered Funds, Says Nigeria On The Path To Recovery
The Buhari Media Support Group has applauded the Federal Government loots so far recovered from some corrupt Nigerian.
The group in a statement by its coordinator, Muhammad Labbo and the Secretary, Cassidy Madueke said it is not surprised that this administration has achieved this feat considering that President Muhammadu Buhari has for long identified corruption as one of the major problems afflicting the nation, adding that it is indication that the country is on the part to recovery.
“As we have always said, without the integrity of Mr. President, it would not have been possible for Nigerians to realise the level of looting perpetrated under the PDP administration. We are left in no doubt that the huge amount of money looted would have been channelled towards projects that will positively impact on all Nigerians including security, infrastructure, social services, health and education.”
“We decry a situation where a few individuals use their privileged positions to siphon public resources, thereby short-change the generality of the people. With the level of poverty level in Nigeria, it is indeed disheartening that Nigerians were mindlessly defrauded to the tune of trillions of naira and billions of dollars.”
“As a group, the Buhari Media Support Group appeals to all Nigerians to give their unalloyed support to the Buhari administration in its determination to curtail corruption in our public life, and recover all looted funds for the benefit of all Nigerians. We must bear in mind that this administration means well and is working in the best interest of all Nigerians, and as a people we can only reciprocate by supporting the efforts of the administration.”
