Babachir Lawal, Oke Remain Suspended, Says Ag. President Osinbajo
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has said that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and the Director General of the NIA, Oke, remain suspended from office.
Spokesman to Osinbajo, Mr. Laolu Akande in his address to press men on Sunday, caled for patience about the report of the panel set up to investigate the two top officials.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari suspended Babachir Lawal and Oke over allegations of contract fraud and bribery levelled against Mr. Lawal by the Senate as well as the about N13 billion found in an Ikoyi apartment by the anti-graft EFCC and claimed by the NIA.
A panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was to investigate the allegations.
The panel was yet to submit its report to Mr. Buhari before he went for medical treatment in the UK.
