Baba Mai Mangoro Bon Voyage, Who is Host Number 2? By Fodio Ahmad
It is natural to die as it is to be born. No child of realism could shun and abandon the political relevance of opposition politics. Opposition politics are organized political parties or groups that oppose the government on seat, which if played democratically without hate and blackmails, equates to the advantage of the masses vis-à-vis leaving the masses on the loose end if interest smiles in.
We all are witnesses, in a nation of never-ending political, rather 2015 drama.
The possible saving grace (merger theory) whom most Nigerians decides to seek refuge from, turn worst when it became the New House, Old Owners garage and for true change, You can’t put in new wine in old bottles expecting a different taste. The birth of APC wasn’t just a party merger; it was the fact that it came with so much force that if well utilized by now, would have transformed the democratic field, being not just elite oriented but 6 feet into the veins of the grassroots. Time is such a frowning bastard, so to speak, and I think one of the biggest mistakes of the All Progressive Congress lies with the urge to ‘UN-SEAT’ the ruling party, without concrete political diplomacy.
The juxtaposition of both APC and PDP is a sure baked fact that no reasonable follower can dispute even if drunk. Again and again, let’s not confuse hasty decisions with strength or intelligence. It’s important to be pivotal after giving consideration that reflects the time you have and what’s at stake towards the race of 2015 general elections. I can’t just believe the APC in such a hasty manner could forget that 20 billion dollars could not be accounted for and when a whistle blower decided to, he was suspended while he was on official assignment. The PDP is one political party you don’t want to mess with, crookedly and money wise. Can you imagine a national party chairman confidently saying the masses of a certain state cannot be worth more than 10,000 naira and a bag of rice to get convinced to vote ? That is indeed a philosophy of an umbrella practicing what it preaches ‘POWER’.
The APC, I am sure pretends not to face the reality of the true meaning of ‘Nation Change’. Nation change doesn’t or cannot swing in overnight much less by severely pressurizing the government neither does the weeping and sorrow of a country like Nigeria stop once the process has begun. I cannot be disappointed by the number one stepping stone of APC’s mal-nutrition strategy to un-seat PDP; the accidental public servant (Nasir El-rufai) whose facebook page alone has contributed tremendously to the success of PDP at the center; for instead of projecting and protecting the image of APC, he is busy counting the mistakes (indirect publicity) of ‘OGA JONA AND PDP’. What I am trying to say is people need a break; you can’t always broadcast the illnesses of Mr. President without doing justice to his little efforts. Nasir El-rufai was just very successful in attracting more and more non-partisan sympathizers to the ijaw man. Etc. TAPS paid no attention to the fundamental fact that the negative risk of changing a horse in mid-stream is very high.
Quick as a flash, the PDP turned sun proof vampires to the blood stream of APC the second the plot vaccine of the progressives to throw out the power slogan unfolded. We know of the season of house arrest which took its breakfast series with TAPS at Anambra, then came the time of private jet impoundment, military harassment, governor’s movement restrictions, shutting down of airports, though I learnt a decamped ex-Governor accessed it a while ago and now, ‘Newspaper Arrest’, Arrest ? Yea, I think arrest will serve better. All this scenarios are as a result of APC’s *GARA-GARA* which is labeled an act to discredit, blackmail and destabilize the democracy, targeting the re-election of Mr. President. APC should have known better and schemed with a smarter strategy.
In actual events, the most successful fist of the PDP on APC is the recent season of impeachment, with the opening ceremony, hosted by Rtd. Admiral Murtala Hamman Yero Nyako. The impeachment is not really my worry but the circumstances surrounding the event. I mean this is supposed to be a country where common stealing is called corruption. How then can a governor be impeached by the Adamawa State house of assembly following the adoption of a report submitted by a panel to investigate the corruption allegations labeled on ‘BABA MAI MANGORO’ ?.
Nyako in the first place made the biggest mistake of his political career when he decamped from PDP to APC without majority of his lawmakers,(Check out Governor Rotimi Ameachi). You can’t eat your cake and have it’.But then Was he impeached because he decamped to APC or because of ‘common stealing’ or because his seat is needed for 2015 or because of the memo he wrote, which he recently said “Even on My Death Bed, I Will not Withdraw My Memo Accusing Jonathan of Genocide”.
In the absence of any concrete answer, therefore, allow me to pat the shoulders of the Adamawa state law makers and say ‘Well-done’ for a contract well executed, and since ‘Democracy’ cannot speak to expose those hiding under her roof, checkout what Oliseh Metuh said “The impeachment of the former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako is an act of democracy”. it is clear this is just pre-2015 weeding and that is why I trust the governor of my state; he is too smart for such a cheap calculus for post-2015 wrath, so he is minding the mind.
APC needs to revisit their drawing board, the sooner begun and done. The blame game will not favor APC. Most importantly, they should know why still waters run deep.
Adolf Hitler’s words “I might be killed by a criminal, or by an idiot, at any time” so, henceforth expect a bold headline reading something like ‘EFCC and NYAKO’ on every National Daily. Remember, EFCC is just a death trap for political loyalists gone party astray; Nuhu Ribadu’s ATM courtesy, BABA.
BABA MAI MANGORO, although no one knows your mistakes better than yourself, on this canoe I say Bon Voyage. Who is host number 2 ?. Al-Makura might just be the host number 2 of the pre-2015 weeding, despite protests from the youths and emirs’ intervention.
Now, when you see politicians playing deaf to emirs’, like this “We have started this. We cannot go back, no matter the involvement of the chairman of traditional rulers,” you should know why ! And seriously in a nation like Nigeria, protests means nothing before the Government, a case study of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign..
I am asking because between the racer and the race there must be a track. Although our democratic track has been gang-raped by them all, when two race, one must loose.
