Premium Times had just reported that a major disaster has been averted at Bayero University Kano, as two locally-made bombs were discovered at the faculties of law and sciences of the university.

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, on Monday ordered the sacking of 778 striking doctors in the service of the state and announced the immediate recruitment of 373 new doctors.

Reports reaching us from Potiskum in Yobe State say youth in the town are rioting in protest of last week’s attack on the cattle market which led to the death of over 60 people.
A resident of Potiskum, Adamu Mohammed, informed us that the riot started when a group of cattle traders convened at the site of the attack to pray to “God to expose those behind the killings. Read more
