Attah of Igala Land Denies Prescribing Salt Water Bath to Prevent Ebola
The Attah of Igala land and Chairman of Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Idakwo Aemeoboni II, has denied prescribing salt bath as a means to prevent the deadly Ebola Virus.
In a statement issued in Lokoja yesterday by his press coordinator, Mr Onoja Okpanachi, the traditional ruler described the report credited to him as false.
“The information concerning spiritual bath against Ebola attack, levelled against Attah Igala is false and a blackmail to score cheap points”.
Reacting to allegations that the Attah is involved in politics, he described the claim as malicious and a calculation to distract the people, adding that what Attah is doing is reconciling his own children who are politicians.
He said that the Attah is advising politicians who are Igala sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora to go about politics with respect for each other and abhor rancour and discord which used to be the hallmark of Igala politics.
“These rumour mongers are taking undue advantage of the popularity of Attah Igala and the great love and respect Igala kingdom have for him”, the statement added.
