Arrested Boko Haram Cell Leader, Habib Bama is dead
A high profile cell leader of the Boko Haram sect and suspected mastermind of the bombings at Mogadishu Barracks, Police Headquarters, the UN Building, St Theresa’s Catholic Church at Madalla and many sites in Jos is dead.
Bama, who was arrested on Thursday in Damaturu, Yobe State died early this morning from the gunshot wounds he sustained from agents of the Joint Task Force battling the extremist Islamist sect.
A top JTF Commander had yesterday, told abusidiqu.com that Bama was critically wounded in the battle with the JTF and that he may not survive the injury and true to his word, he called us today to confirm the death of Bama.
The source said Bama must have died from complications from the gunshot wounds after he was deliberately denied medical attention, adding that the gun shot wohe sustained from yesterday’s gun battle might not have been enough to cause the death of the late Boko Haram cell leader if he was given medical attention.
Habib Bama, also known as Habib Bama, Shuaibu Bama and Habib Mamman is an ex-soldier with the Nigerian Army and hailed from Bama town in Borno State.
He was declared wanted by the State Security Service following the bombing at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, Madallah.
