APC Emblematizes Ojukwu’s Dream By Sabi’u Zaranda
“Until we are ready to modify and sometime to abandon our premodial attachment in form of a new nigerian relationship we can’t unite” – Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu
“No Nigerian leadership can emerge until Nigeria come into true existences” -Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu
Going by the history of political parties in Nigeria and their antecedent majority if not all were either emerge or originated from a tribal group which later in the day represent and preserved the interest of a specific tribe while abandoning the interest of other tribes or were founded by a group of a business friends as an enterprise which hold the nation at ransom for the benefit of it members thereby exploiting Nigerians from all angles for the benefit of selected individual across the tribe and religion. But with the merging of various political parties into APC, it brings hope for democracy in Nigeria.
Recalling that the kind of alliances, partnership, mergers and all sort of association that our predecessors formed were based mostly in favor of their personal gain, tribal interest or regional benefit but not for Nigerian unity certain class of people were set against others, for specific tribes to align themselves against a tribe or appealing for some regions to come together against another region. All these results in the destruction of our lingering unity as a nation but with the formation of APC, leaders from all the geopolitical zones are involved; every tribe has a notable personal in the merger; leaders from different religious background don’t only endorsed the movement but rather they blessed it and pray for its success. All these were possible because we removed sentiment and abandoned our attachment to religion and tribe for the purpose of a new Nigerian relationship, unity and the future of our dear nation.
Its through this unified forum of APC that people of different backgrounds regardless of tribe, religion, region, sex and age that our country Nigeria can come into true existences and its through APC that true Nigerian leadership can emerge and will treat every citizen with the respect it deserved.
Therefore it doesn’t surprise me when His excellency, Rochas Okorochas described APC as not only a political party but a movement to salvage Nigeria from the verge of collapse, neither does it amuse me when Mr Osita Okechukwu was calling for Ndigbo to embrace APC as the best platform to achieve their long agitated dream.
APC is here to salvage our people and to actualize our heroes dreams not as enterprise for personal gain.
