APC Is Not A Political Party, Says Secondus As He Urges Defectors To ‘Come Back Home’
The newly elected Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is not a political party, but gathering of people who rushed to grabbed power.
Secondus said this in the early hours of Sunday, while reading out his victory speech at the venue of the party’s national convention in Abuja.
The party Chair, in his speech, issued quit notice to the APC as he resolved to lead his party to win the 2019 Presidential election.
While congratulating former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for returning home to the party he helped founded, Secondus further appealed to defectors to tow the Atiku path and return home.
“I urge all Nigerians to join the PDP, particularly the old members who left the party to please come back,” he said.
The newly elected Chairman also assured members of the party of equal shareholder as he commits to uphold internal democracy within the party.
“Under my watch, internal democracy will be strictly adhere to; no more imposition, no more impunity. Every member should consider himself or herself equal shareholder of the party,” Secondus stated.
