APC Has Politicised ASUU Strike – FG
The minister made the assertion at a world press conference yesterday in Abuja. He said that APC wants the strike to linger till 2015 so that it can use it to win the presidential election.
Maku took a swipe at the opposition party, saying that it was sad and selfish for some group of people to cast blight on the country’s educational system for their own selfish interest.
The minister also lashed out at the party, declaring that APC has nothing new to offer to Nigerians. He said the opposition party is now shopping for PDP members which the ruling party sees as rebels.
“APC is a gang of desperadoes of power. I call the newly registered opposition party APDPC because they are only interested in wooing the dregs and rebel members of PDP into their party. Now that those rebel members have joined them, they will soon take over the party. So, I think by 2015, PDP will be contesting with APDPC, not APC,” he said.
The minister advised ASUU to end the strike and open schools since their grievances have been addressed.
