The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the deadline for the sale and submission of nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2019 general elections.
Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
He said the deadline for sale and submission the APC’s presidential, governorship, National Assembly and House of Assembly forms has been shifted to Tuesday, September 11.
Mr Nabena urged aspirants for the listed positions to submit their duly completed forms to the APC National Secretariat in the nation’s capital before the close of work of the new deadline.
He also asked APC members willing to participate in the House of Assembly elections to submit their forms at the party’s secretariat in their respective states.
The ruling party had fixed September 10 for the initial deadline in the timetable signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Ibediro.
According to the schedule released on Tuesday, party members aspiring to contest for the presidency are to pay N40m and N5m for the nomination and expression of interest forms respectively.
Similarly, governorship aspirants were asked to pay N22.5m for the forms while the those vying for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly seats were to purchase the forms for N7m, N3.85m, and N850,000 respectively.
