APC Convention To Hold In Lagos
The All Progressives Congress (APC) may have concluded plans to hold its May 14 Convention in Lagos State, a source has revealed.
Although there has been fears from some interest group that their interests might not be fully protected if it was held outside Abuja, but stakeholders are reportedly not going back on their decision.
“Lagos remains the venue of the convention despite reservations from some party members. It has been agreed upon. Those who can play pranks are being monitored,” a source said.
Recall that the last presidential primary election of the party held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, nin December 2014 with over 8000 delegates gracing the event.
Last Sunday, the party leadership released a list of a 68-member national convention committee headed by Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State.
The full list of the committee released in a statement signed by the APC National Organising Secretary has Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State as deputy chairman, while Sen. Ben Uwajumogu will serve as member and secretary.
