Anambra Guber: NOA Urges Electorates To Disregard Threat
Ahead of the Anambra Governorship election on November 18, the National Orientation Agency (NOA), has urged electorates in the state to disregard threats by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and turn out en masse to elect the governor of their choice.
Director General of the Agency, Garba Abari, made the call in the wake of the “vote and die” threat by IPOB.
In a statement signed by the agency’s Head of Press, Paul Odeniyi, Abari assured indigenes of the state that security agencies were fully prepared to ensure safety of voters before, during and after election.
“The renewed threat is not taking the authorities by surprise. All adequate measures to checkmate the excesses of IPOB and other unlawful groups with regard to the Anambra election are already fully in place,” the statement read.
