Amosun Inaugurates 15-Man Committee To Reposition State Civil Service

As part of efforts to reposition and reform Ogun state civil and Public service, the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has inaugurated a 15-man steering committee.

While inaugurating the committee at the Governor’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Amosun disclosed that the inauguration is aimed at developing the human capacity of the civil servants for greater and faster development of the state.

Amosun, who charged the committee members to be alive to their responsibilities, noted that the success of any government depends largely on the quality of the service.

“We want to review the way we work in the service and embrace world best practices, to bring back the glory of the Western region”, he said.

He also disclosed that the state government is collaborating with the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN,  in furtherance of its desire to strengthen the Civil Service.
