Amidst Report of Ceasefire, Boko Haram Launches Attack in Fotokol

Amidst claims by the Nigerian military of reaching a ceasefire deal with leaders of the Boko hara insurgents group, the sect launched a deadly assault in Fotokol, Cameroon on Friday.
According to a source privy to the development, the insurgents launched the attack on the Cameroonian troops from its base in Ganboru-Ngala, one of the towns in Borno State it seized and has been in control few months ago.
The source however added that the attack was unsuccessful as Cameroonian forces killed dozens of the Boko Haram fighters.
He added that the killing in Fotokol on Friday adds to the over 100 lives the insurgents have lost in the last two days in the fight against Cameroonian troops.
