Ambode Denies Forceful Takeover Of Hon. Funmi Tejuosho’s Residence In Lagos
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has denied forceful takeover of the residence of Lagos State House of Assembly member, Hon. Funmi Tejuosho, representing Mushin 1 Constituency.
Recall that heavily armed mobile policemen recently stormed Tejuosho’s residence at 3A Sasegbon Street, GRA Ikeja Lagos, to seal the residence. There were indications that the lawmaker allegedly bought the house through her company when there was no monetization policy.
The source said, “When she left as Deputy Speaker and there is no monetization policy, how come the official residence of Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly suddenly disappeared and then became the property of a company that belongs to an ex-Deputy Speaker that was impeached?
“So if the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State has decided to buy the official residence in Ikoyi, will the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State have access to an official residence?”
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, in a chat with pressmen in Lagos stressed that the governor did not give any directive to that effect as being speculated.
Ayorinde also dismissed the report that the governor ordered the ejection of the lawmaker, saying the development has no political undertone as being speculated.
