Amaechi Battles Jonathan…Plans to Obtain Exparte Injunction to Stop Rival Exco
The crisis rocking the River state chapter of the PDP gets messier as an alleged plot by the Rotimi Amaechi led Rivers State government to obtain an exparte order of injunction to stop the newly inaugurated Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Executive Committee from carrying out their duties has been uncovered.
Governor Amaechi is fighting very hard to take over control of the state PDP from the caretaker exco loyal to his rival, Nyesom Wike who is the current Minister of Education.
Following a court order dissolving the state party exco loyal to the state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, the national headquarters of the party had quickly set up a a caretaker committee rival to the governor with believed influenced from some powers that be in Abuja.
A security source said that some commissioners, top advisers and key strategists of Governor Amaechi perfected the plan at a high level meeting held at the official residence of the Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt, Sir Tony Okocha.
It was also learnt that the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Wogu Boms had approached a State High Court sitting in Okehi in Etche LGA, presided over by Hon. Justice Crescent Dapp-Addo, who is the wife of Amaechi’s personal lawyer, his business associate and the chairman of the Board of Directors of Amaechi’s personal radio station in Port Harcourt to obtain an injunction to stop the newly inaugurated executive from carrying out their functions.
