Abia Police Command Arrest Kidnapping Syndicate
The Police in Abia State, has arrested six members of a kidnapping syndicate that has been terrorising residents of Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State and its environs.
The gang members were apprehended at Okpuloumuobo in Osisioma and Eberi Omuma in Local Governments respectively through an intelligence report while negotiating the ransom for the release of their victim.
Recall that a major importer in Aba, Chief B.A Okoye, who was kidnapped by the gang last Thursday has been rescued.
Although police authorities in the state are yet to react to the development, however, a source revealed that the six members of the gang sustained injuries during gun duel at their hideouts, while suspects have been transferred to the State Headquarters, Umuahia.
