8 Ekiti PDP State Executives Set To Join APC
An Ex-Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and governorship hopeful come the next election, Rt. Hon Femi Bamisile has confirmed that considering his efforts to mobilize the party and ensure that it returns to her old formidable structure, not less than eight members of the State Executives of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in the State are set to join the All Progressives Congress in the State. The decamping he said will take place any time soon.
This is coming just less than 72hours that the former Vice Chairman of PDP, turned APC stalwart boasted that he would convincingly collapse the PDP and galvanise the intellectual leftovers in the party (PDP) to his new party (APC) where he is interested in flying the Governorship ticket in the next election.
Speaking with party members in Ado Local Government on Wednesday, the APC stalwart said that “frantic effort to restore the winning history of the party has made it possible for eight members of the PDP State exco to be prepared to join his party”
“With all modesty and support of the three former Governors in the State, I make bold to say that not less than eight members of the State executives are set to join the APC, because I have personally spoken to them and they are confident that the APC is a better place. You will recall that a former Chairman of the party, Chief Ropo Adesanya has taken a bold step to tear his party membership card and joined our progressive party.
“The PDP is not as organised as you all thought, with the autocratic style of Governor Fayose, who happens to be their leader.
Bamisile who just secured a situation office directly beside the PDP state secretariat said he was confident that the party (PDP) would vacate their State secretariat soonest because his political activities in the State are already giving the incumbent Governor sleepless nights.
“The PDP will soon leave their State secretariat for me. I was looking for a good location for my situation office and good the only available was the building beside the PDP State secretariat, which I believe will serve me best. It is good news to hear that the Governor, Mr. Fayose has directed that they should vacate the PDP secretariat because of me. That is to tell you that he is feeling the heat of our political activities.
“The PDP will collapse like a pack of cards soonest” he reiterated.
