2019: Kano APC Endorse President Buhari, Vows To Purchase Nomination Form For Second Term
The Kano State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari, as its candidate for the 2019 presidential election.
This was contained in a statement made available to pressmen by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu.
The party leaders in the state also promised to procure the nomination forms for him and threatened to sue if he declined the said endorsement.
In the statement, Shehu however noted that Buhari neither said he accepted nor declined the endorsement at the APC stakeholders meeting, held on the sidelines of the president’s state visit to Kano State.
The meeting was attended by Governor Ganduje, his deputy, Professor Hafizu Abubakar, the state chairman and the members of the state and national executive committees of the party from Kano State.
Also in attendance were two of the state’s senators; members of the House of Representatives from the state; the speaker and 34 of the 40 members of the State House of Assembly and the 44 party chairmen, their deputies and local government area secretaries of the party.
Others were Governor Muhammed Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State and other leaders of the party in the state.
