Buhari Drops Military Title, Release Post May 29 Official Portrait
From May 29, the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari would not want to be addressed with his military rank.
This was stated in a statement from his campaign organisation today. Instead, the former Head of state will want to be addressed simply “as Muhammadu Buhari, President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria” while the Vice-President-elect will also be known as Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Their official portraits, published in this report were equally unveiled today.
The media team of the president elect which made the announcement released photos that will serve as the official portraits of the president and his vice from May 29.
